1.4 million illegal immigrants in the US have been ordered to be deported

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham discussed the offer made to the president-elect.

Fox News has learned that there are approximately 1.4 million illegal immigrants in the United States who have received deportation orders from federal immigration judges.

Around 13,000 individuals who have been ordered to return to their home countries are currently being held in custody by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement, according to a U.S. official.

It is estimated that despite orders to have them removed, there are still many more individuals in the United States who are in the country illegally. While the exact number of those being held in local or state custody is not available, it is evident that there are only a few thousand currently in custody.

According to the official, the figure of 1.4 million signifies that the individuals who have been ordered to leave the country have already undergone the process of having their immigration cases heard and determined. It is important to note that some of these individuals may still have the opportunity to pursue appeals.

The number also dates back several years, spanning multiple presidential administrations, and fluctuates as some undocumented immigrants are instructed to leave and others are expelled from the nation.

President-elect Trump has committed to conduct large-scale deportations, with an initial emphasis on criminal undocumented immigrants, after assuming office on January 20. The state of Texas has generously offered the incoming administration a sizable plot of land spanning over 1,400 acres in the Rio Grande Valley sector, near the border, as a potential site for the execution of this mass deportation operation.

In a bold move to address the ongoing migrant surge, a red state has taken significant steps to intensify its border wall efforts. The state has recently made a substantial land purchase, signaling its commitment to securing its borders. This proactive approach aims to curb illegal immigration and ensure the safety and security of its residents.

The acquisition of this vast land will provide the necessary space to construct additional sections of the border wall. By expanding the existing barrier, the state aims to strengthen its defense against unauthorized entry and drug trafficking. This strategic move showcases the state’s determination to combat the challenges posed by the surge in migrant activity.

The decision to invest in border wall expansion comes at a crucial time as the nation grapples with an unprecedented influx of migrants. By bolstering its border security measures, the red state aims to alleviate the strain on its resources and maintain law and order within its borders. The land purchase serves as a tangible demonstration of the state’s commitment to addressing this pressing issue head-on.

This proactive approach highlights the state’s dedication to protecting its residents and upholding the rule of law. By ramping up its border wall efforts, the state aims to create a more secure environment for its citizens and mitigate the risks associated with illegal immigration. The acquisition of additional land signifies a clear message: the state is ready to take decisive action to secure its borders and safeguard the well-being of its people.

As the migrant surge continues to put a strain on resources and pose challenges to border security, this red state’s proactive stance serves as an example for others to follow. By investing in border wall expansion, the state demonstrates its commitment to maintaining sovereignty and addressing the pressing issues arising from unauthorized immigration. This significant land purchase reinforces the state’s dedication to protecting its borders and ensuring the safety of its residents.

On Tuesday, city leaders in Los Angeles made the decision to officially implement a sanctuary city ordinance as a response to Trump. Shortly after this vote took place at City Hall, the Los Angeles Unified School District also approved a measure to become a sanctuary district. This means that district employees are now prohibited from willingly cooperating with immigration authorities, including sharing any information regarding the immigration status of students.

ICE has consistently criticized sanctuary city jurisdictions for their lack of cooperation with immigration authorities. This is especially concerning when illegal immigrant criminals reoffend or commit serious crimes after being released from local custody.
